The US National Park Service provides entrances to national parks and sites at no cost during certain holidays of the year. This is a good opportunity to take a trip with your family and save on some costs, as some of these entrance fees cost anywhere up to $35 or so. You’ll save even more if you actually live close to some of these sites, as gas expenses are a big part of road trips.
For 2021, here are a list of holidays where you can take advantage of these free entrance days…
National Park Free Entrance Days for 2021
- January 18: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- April 17: First Day of National Park Week
- August 4: One-year Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
- August 25: National Park Service Birthday
- September 25: National Public Lands Day
- November 11: Veterans Day
Make sure to keep these holiday dates in mind if you’re planning to take advantage of the free entrance to nationals parks opportunity provided to us at this time. This is just a little way to save money when you’re planning your next vacation or outdoor trip. Enjoy!
